Oakgrove Community Centre

Designed while employed at the City of Casey this building seeks to echo traditional farm buildings which dotted the landscape prior to urbanisation. The collection of buildings appears as a community of buildings with major building spaces visible from the outside as a set of differing roof forms. Internally a gallery area provides display space and and access to the activity spaces.

The design was completed in conjunction with a group of committed residents who went on to manage the centre.

A community art project was incorporated into the design forming part of the landscaping and building entry.
